It's summer time beauty babes! You know what that means... summer makeup! If you're like me and always have to have the most up to date looks from last year's 17 Magazine, then you're in the right place! Here are my fav summer makeup products that I've just been loving in the month of June!
The foundation of a great looking face is great looking foundation! To cover up all my embarrassing flaws and lack of outer beauty, I like to smother Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow SPF 25 makeup in the shade "I'm so money, honey" all over my face. I've been really enjoying this makeup in the winter because it's a little too light for my winter skin tone, so it really helps me get that "I've lost all blood circulation in my face" look that I can't get naturally. In the summer, it's waaay too light for my skin, which makes it great for super fun, natural war paint!
The brushes I've been using are a part of Forever 21's "here's some shit you didn't know you didn't need" bins by the line for the register. The bristles are a sups fab pink color that's great for masking how much makeup you're actually putting on! They also feel great pressed against your face! Fierce!
Once I've taken all the natural color out of my face, I like to put it back in with blush! This blush isn't just a June favorite, it's a lifetime favorite. I've had this blush since I had to buy it for my 6th grade dance recital and has worked like a charm ever since, even after I dropped and shattered it!
For eyeshadow I've really been loving the Almay intense i-color trio for blue eyes. My grandmother gave it to me when I was 17 so I could bring out my "beautiful blue eyes." What I love so much about it is the way it really makes my green eyes pop kind of a little bit kind of. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with blue eyes, or someone that doesn't have blue eyes and is just as confused makeuply as they are sexually!
I've also been really loving the Urban Decay's Naked, Naked 2, and Naked 3 pallets. I have all 3 of them because my mom never really knows what to get me for Christmas, and the women at the Macy's makeup counter keep on suggesting them #commission!
For my lips I've been sticking with my hand Nivea vanilla & macadamia kiss lip butter. It actually isn't handy, it's a complicated fucking annoying piece of shit, but I ran out of my normal chap stick and have been too lazy to stop at CVS and get some more. Silly me! I also don't remember when I bought it, I think it was sometime in high school. Oops x2!
When I'm off on a night on the town, or just feeling sultry, I go for a darker look with my Sugar coral tinted lip treatment. I stole it from my friend in high school, so if you're looking for a product that really gives you a good bang for your buck I'd recommend you do the same! My favorite part about it is that it's been melted in a hot car a few times, so it goes on and rubs off like oily butter. How easy is that?
What's makeup without a little germophobia? If you don't clean your brushes, you're basically begging for herpes, and that's slutty! For my makeup brush cleaner I've chosen Sephora's no "rincing" daily makeup brush cleaner. I've never actually opened or used it, but the word cleaner is really big on the bottle! It's the thought that counts, everybody.
That's it for this month's favorites! I'll see you back here next month for another one. In the mean time, stay tuned for my summer hair tutorial! I don't want to give too much away, but the look was inspired by weddings, prison inmates, and the off-broadway production "Ferrel Cats!" I just know you're gonna love it!
Xoxo love you all!!! Except you, Steve. Fuck Steve.
